Shane Gillis returns to Studio 8H for his third time hosting Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Rosalía! Did Shane deliver, or did this episode leave us wishing for a rewrite?
We break down the entire episode, sketch by sketch, from the cold open and Shane’s stand-up monologue to the bizarre brilliance of “Father-Daughter Song,” “Upfront Heating & Air Conditioning,” and “Sneakers.” We also discuss the now-infamous Green Eggs & Ham sketch, where an accidental F-bomb turns into one of the night's biggest moments, thanks in no small part to Mikey Day’s quick recovery.
Plus, we dig into Weekend Update, debate which cast members made the biggest impression, and talk about Rosalía’s theatrical performances of “Reliquia” and “Magnolias.”
Was Grace Reiter the MVP? Which sketch deserves Sketch of the Night? And how much should a controversial monologue affect our overall opinion of the episode?

[00:00:06] It's The Ten to One Podcast with your host, Brad Oman, featuring Ben Conowitz and Nate Lauchs. And here's the podcast. Come on, man. You can't purposely haunt it. It's spooky season. It's your purpose. Come on. It's spooky season. It's October. You can know exactly what you were doing. It's October. Honestly, it's partially because I'm still getting over a sinus infection. I don't know. It sounded-
[00:00:35] I can't really do it. After our last comment section, okay, the mailbag last time, I get it. It gets out of hand, but come on, dude. Sorry. This is what you have to deal with when I'm still getting over an illness. Okay, whatever. Hey, guys. It's another episode of The Ten to One Podcast. It's another episode. What's that? Okay, I like that. It's a new jingle I'm working on. Okay. I'm work shopping. Keep working. Come and knock on our door. Yeah, no. We've been waiting for you. We've been waiting for you.
[00:01:05] It's the Ten to Ten to Ten to Ten to One. It's the Ten to One. Podcast. Yeah, see? That wasn't bad. Three's company. Okay, all right. Let's just get into it. Who hosted this episode, Brad? Garth Brooks. And Chris Gaines was the musical guest. Just hold on. Okay. Hold your horse. I'm holding three horses. Because, guys, welcome to The Ten to One. I've got some mailbag. Mailbag. Give us a song. Yeah, go ahead, Brad.
[00:01:32] When there's something new in your mailbox. What do you think it is? It's the mail. All right. We've got two that I'm going to read today. When there's something new in the mail? Mailbox. Yeah, you heard it. Okay. I'm just making sure I heard the lyrics correctly. We've got two that I'm going to read today. And I want to encourage you, please do comment on Spotify. It's our favorite thing in the world.
[00:02:02] Or Facebook. Or send us emails. Yeah. It is literally, we just laugh so much at your comments. I laugh. Let's give, this is from Tom Kaminsky. You know Tom. Yep. I like how we encourage people to comment. And when we say their actual names, we insult them. I didn't insult them. No, no. No, that's pretty insulting. Tom Kaminsky. I know Tom Kaminsky. I know. Yeah. You're no Tom Kaminsky. Okay. And you, sir, are no Tom Kaminsky.
[00:02:32] Okay. But here's the thing is, I feel like we should know Tom Kaminsky. That is a very Chicagoland type of name. The Kaminsky's. Yeah. Yeah. Of the Chicago Kaminsky's. Yeah, exactly. So, big Sox fans. Big Sox fans. Yeah. They've been to Kaminsky Park. All right. Go home right now. All right. Tom Kaminsky says, I stand with Toholski. We all stand with Toholski. All these skis stick together. Yeah, that's true. All these bullish people. I just wanted you to know this. Assuming, of course, that you ever read this email.
[00:03:01] With mixed emotions, Tom Kaminsky. So, I do believe that Toholski's going to be pissed because we read that email, like, immediately. Like, we saw that. Because I'm starting to check the emails. We saw that, like, the day it was sent. Well, because Nate learned his lesson. Okay. Well, Andy walked so that Tom could run. Oh, before we get to the next one, there were some comments on last week's post about the Dakota Johnson episode that I wanted to address. I will pull those up. All right. You pull those up. I'll give a comment here.
[00:03:30] Somebody who was clearly a Dakota Johnson fan. Yeah, actually. Oh, yes. So, yeah. And there was a detail, actually, that I did not realize because I hadn't kept up with a certain sect of pop culture. Hey, hey, hey. We'll get there. I know. We'll get there. I feel like a lot of our listeners, though, are kind of catching on that you're a little bit misogynistic. Ben. What? What? Okay. You know what? How do you like that? All right.
[00:04:00] No, I'm just joking. No. This is from Jessica Schaefer. Maybe Schaefer. Thanks so much for listening, Jessica. Akiba's sister. It's Schaefer. I'm going to say Schaefer. No, Schaefer. It's going to say Schaefer. We're going to Schaefer. Anyway. Hey, guys. Welcome back. Dakota is in Taylor's video for Patient Zero. Yeah, that's her new single. I'm a little shocked that you didn't know that. I am a little shocked that you didn't know that. I knew that it was her new single. I hadn't seen the music video yet, so I didn't know she was in it. Yeah. And she broke up with musician Role Model. Who was on us in our last year. Who was on us in our last year, right?
[00:04:30] Yeah. Yeah. I know her new one. Her humor is on the dry side, and that's why she seems kind of nervous every time she hosts. She's similar to Kristen Stewart in that way. But that way. Okay. I think Kristen Stewart's funnier. And Jessica says, or Brad said, I hadn't watched the Patient Zero video yet. That makes sense. And Jessica responded with, Brad Oman, she is telling me that. She honestly isn't funny. The writers seem to have a problem writing to her strengths. I agree to a certain extent, but not entirely. Because I don't think Dakota Johnson has that much range.
[00:04:59] I think she can be funny, but again, with a limited window. And I think- You can't write the same sketch every time. However- There's like one sketch she picks really well. Kristen Stewart does pretty well on SNL. I think Kristen Stewart is hilarious. But is it because the writers are better at catering to her strengths, and they have similar strengths? She's just a better actress. I think Kristen Stewart's a better actress than Dakota Johnson. That's fair. That's fair. Yeah. No. And we just said, you know, Dakota Johnson is a bit one note, and it's a fun note. You know, but it's a bit one note. That's all.
[00:05:24] Again, if you go back and watch the Please Don't Destroy nepotism thing- Yeah. It is. Incredible. One of the funnier things in the last 10 years of SNL, honestly. It's hilarious. It is, though. That note. And you can't write every sketch to fit that note. Right? Because even in the sketch that was funnier last week, it was kind of the mean girlfriend. Yeah. It was very much that same thing. Okay. But again, of all the hosts that could host SNL, I'm not ever mad when Dakota Johnson hosts. No, I don't know. She's serviceable.
[00:05:54] But I do wish that she was a bit better like Kristen Stewart is. Let me say this to a long-time listener and friend of mine, Adam Harmon, has said we've been too hard on these two episodes. They're actually funnier than we say they are. I don't know about that. Well, Adam, it's okay to be a fan of the show and wrong. Yeah, I think we've been pretty fair. I love you. I'm just joking. But I just, you know, I don't know. I just feel like it's not been a great show. We now know enough about the inner workings of the show, and honestly, I go back to that- You call yourself an expert.
[00:06:23] Brad and I don't, but you call yourself- I am. I'm a snexpert. Oh, no, I'm an expert. Let's not. Let's actually take that. I don't like snexpert. That doesn't sound good at all. No. Anyway, I will say it again. Do you really want me to write that down? Because I'm not taking that out. No, no. I don't care. No. The 50th documentaries and the behind the scenes and everything, if you really still haven't watched that, go back and watch it, and it'll give you a whole new perspective
[00:06:48] on what the writers really do as far as the direction of the sketch as well. Because if the writer is not a good director, it can impact the sketch. It can. Yeah. And the cutting and the timing and the camera work are so important. Yeah. It can ruin a sketch. The host can ruin a sketch. The flubbing of the line can- There's so many things that go wrong with live television. Yeah. When you get something that works really, really, really, really well, it is rare. Yeah. And that's why we love NSL, SNL, because of the rarity. So we're snag experts. I'm going to die on that. All right.
[00:07:17] We publish- Which one of you guys did this, by the way? Did you do this? The publish of what people thought of this? Okay. Good thinking. I mean, that was my idea, but thank you. But we put it out there, and we want to know your opinions. And as of recording this, we've got only one of them, and I want to thank Darren Patterson. Yeah. Also, SNL podcaster as well. Love you, Darren. Very funny. He says, Howdy, boys.
[00:07:43] So while Shane's monologue was absolute hot, wet horseshit, I will admit that this episode was the best of the season so far. Highlights were the heating and air conditioning sketch in the Mom Whose Babysitter Cancelled segment of Weekend Update. Padilla and Ryder- Is it Ryder or Reader? It's Ryder. Yeah, that's what I thought. Giving strong Jack Black vibes. Oh, what do you think about that? We'll talk. We'll get through it. Yeah, we'll get there. We'll get there.
[00:08:13] Calm down. I appreciate that very much, Darren, that you are, as always, it's a very good take. And I can't wait to talk about it. All right. Let's get started, boys. Colin Jost plays. This is the cold open. Well, hold on. Before we get there, let's just acknowledge the fact that Shane Gillis- Shane Gillis back for the third time hosting the Saturday Night Live with musical guest Cat's Eye. Rosalia. Rosalia. Brazilian, I think, right? Sure. Sure. I think she is.
[00:08:43] It's awkward. I think she is. I don't know who she is. You just wanted to guess? Well, I remember. Is she Portuguese? Colombian? I think my ex-girlfriend, Eveline, liked her. So I think she's Rosalia. Well, she doesn't listen to this podcast. It's fine. Or does she? You know what? Surprise mailbag. Dear Nate. Hi, Eveline. She probably isn't, but she listened to her anyway. Anyway. She's Spanish. Never mind.
[00:09:12] Nate, you're just shitting the bed, buddy. I'm not doing well. Yeah, it's okay. You know what? Classic episode for Nate Lauchs. Who's racist now? Classic episode. All right. Shane Gillis returned for his third time. Of the three Shane Gillis episodes, do you rank this as the last? You mean the last ever? It was definitely the most recent. It was the worst. We'll talk about it after we talk about the episode. Yeah, I like it. I don't want to spoil it. Yeah. All right. All right. Let's move on to-
[00:09:42] What opened cold? Hegseth USS Lincoln. Colin Jones plays Pete Hegseth, briefing the USS Lincoln crew. This also has James Austin Johnson, who does not appear as Donald Trump. He does a fantastic Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and it does a lot of New War Department logo. Headline absurdity stuff. What did you guys think of this?
[00:10:09] This was James Austin Johnson not doing Trump. I actually thought this wasn't the worst cold open they've done. Brad, what did you think? This was the first time that I was a little tired of Colin Jost's Pete Hegseth. Oh. Not that he wasn't funny necessarily, but it's just like it's starting to become too much, and that they clearly know that they got something different and better than just sticking with Trump, and they're riding that as often as they can.
[00:10:37] Weren't you so happy they didn't put Trump in this, though? Yes, 100%. And I was very happy to see James Austin Johnson show up as Kennedy, because it was a fun new impression to hear him do. I thought he was fantastic. Did a great job with the voice. I wish they would have made him a little more burnt leather tan, because that's what he looks like. But yeah, great voice for that characterization, and that was funny to see as well. There were some amusing little lines here and there that I thought were fine, but otherwise it was okay.
[00:11:07] What about you, Benny? 300 days on a submarine. I don't think it was a submarine. No, it was like an aircraft carrier, wasn't it? Yeah. 300 days at sea. Yeah. That's incredibly hard and horribly selfish. No, and it was like the toilets aren't working. It was like the ship was falling apart essentially. It's a nightmare. So that just sucks. And so it's a delicate thing to make fun of, honestly, because there's a lot of really upset people about that. And it's the thing that SNL can do well,
[00:11:36] and I think they actually did a pretty good job here of recognizing the absurdity of it, but still nowhere near punching down to the U.S. military as soldiers. Of course not. But keeping the targets of the arrows where they're supposed to be, which is those in power, right? There are diminishing returns on Hegseth's character by now. The bandolier of fireball is funny. There's funny throwaway lines. But yeah, the RFK impression is great. Like, thank you for that rather than another worn out Trump. I just appreciate that they tried something different.
[00:12:06] Yeah. I think I'd like to see James Johnson do it again. I think there's a lot with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to make fun of. I'm surprised that they haven't hit it harder, honestly. And so I liked this because it felt to me like, oh, that's a new character you're opening up because you're going to do political cold opens. That's what they do. Yeah. And I was excited to see it. Nope, exactly. All right. Shane Gillis' monologue. Shane Gillis opens with material about his weight, his visits to gyms in New York, Joe Rogan's sauna,
[00:12:35] and his experience being raised by his sisters. Lots of feedback online. I don't know if you've seen any of it about this monologue. I haven't read anything. Monologue. People are mad. Let me say this. Let me say one nice thing. I actually find Shane Gillis very funny. I've watched his comedy specials, and they're very funny. I watch him in interviews. He makes me laugh a lot. I've laughed in his previous episodes. His monologues, I think, have been very good.
[00:13:04] I thought this was not good at all. Yeah. I'm not even going to get into the content of the jokes. It just didn't feel like he was prepared. It felt like somebody was like, listen, I got this. It never feels like he's prepared. It is part of his shtick. Yeah, it's part of his shtick. If something doesn't land, he always laughs at himself. He knows that not everything's going to work. The whole thing where that guy up there understands. That thing is a Shane Gillis kind of thing. Yeah. But this felt even weaker than usual.
[00:13:34] This felt like even weaker than... It was like, oftentimes, you get Nate Bargatze on there, you get some other... And they're working out the bits that they're probably doing live somewhere. Right? And this didn't feel like that was Shane Gillis. This felt really lazy. Here's the crazy part about that. He was working those bits out well in advance because I went to see Shane Gillis at the Chicago Bulls Stadium at United Center, and I heard some of those jokes. Okay. So he's been doing them for a while. Did they land better? Did he do a better job with them? You got to remember, there's two different audiences here.
[00:14:04] There's the Shane Gillis crowd at the United Center who's only there to see Shane Gillis, and then there's people watching Saturday Night Live to watch Saturday Night Live. Yeah. And so you're going to have some crossover, obviously, like me, who is a Shane Gillis fan and also watches SNL. So that's why I was so disappointed in this monologue because it was just lazy as fuck. Yeah. It was so... Here's the most lazy, open mic night premise. Exactly. And here is not a good punchline, not even a great setup. And so I don't even call it lazy. I just want to call it bad comedy.
[00:14:34] Yeah. It just wasn't funny. Yeah. The audience was dead. I was dead. I didn't... I was like, geez, O.P., it's like take the mic away from this guy. He's bombing up there. And it's like he was predetermined to do so because I heard these jokes before, and the only one that I did hear that he said out loud, he had not talked about the women at the gym. He did do the trail one where he was on the jogging path. That, and then he also did the bitch hips one. Yeah. Okay, but I'll say the trail one actually made me laugh a little bit. The trail one is funny.
[00:15:03] The bitch tips one is funny. Bitch hips. Bitch hips too. Whatever. But then the Theo Vaughn story, he told that one as well. Oh, did he? Yeah. The Joe Rogansana? Joe Rogansana story was already told. That's a funny joke because it's about him and thinking about... That's an insult that stays with you forever. Taking an insult and being like, this is what I look like is one thing. Comics do it every day. Yeah. But then taking it to the nth degree of I think about that every day, that's really a good bit. That premise is a great premise. Yes. There are things that I always think back of
[00:15:33] your dad telling you you look like a beach whale, right? Yeah. If anyone's heard of this story, this is my favorite joke my dad ever told to me and it was just devastating. I was probably 23 or 24 years old and probably only about 230 pounds. You know, I'm walking around after losing 65 pounds, I'm down to 260 now. Okay? So it got worse, guys. But I was like 230 or whatever and I'm just home from college right eating. My dad walks into my bedroom at home and I'm shirtless, laying down on my back,
[00:16:02] watching TV and my stomach is rising and falling with my breath and there's a remote on my stomach and my dad just leans against the door frame with a yogurt in his hand. Doesn't say anything, right? Doesn't say a darn word, damn beached whale. And just walks away. And just walked away. And I think about it once a week. I think about it. It's a Shane Gillis thing. I think about it once a week. It'll stay with me for the rest of my life. It's a funny bit. It's a good bit. But it didn't work it out though. Like it didn't,
[00:16:31] like that was a great little bit he did and then it's like, okay, but move on. It's just, it was just not a great set. Brad, do you have anything more about the set before we get into the controversy? I do want to talk about the controversy. No, no, I do think we should address it because yeah, it was lazy and it's like, there's a way to do this bit without calling women whores. And it's freaking easy. It's very easy to do. We were actually talking about it before the show. We were like, this isn't that hard. Yeah, especially since the best part
[00:17:01] of the conversation that he begins is where he talks about making fun of himself for appearing in the background of TikToks of girls at the gym recording while they're working out. That's a funny thing. We don't like to say that we could do better than a professional stand-up comedian but here's a case where all three of us are like, could have wrote a better joke. Yeah. I literally could make a better joke. And we're not the only ones. And use the premise of the joke. Exactly. Right? You change like three words and it's actually pretty damn funny. Yeah, and a lot of people are upset about this understandably. Not just women but also like other professional comedians. People like Dan Levy
[00:17:31] spoke out, you know, online. And the thing that's so frustrating to me about this is I understand the impetus to want to take Shane down a peg when he does something like this. He's a big comedian. He's selling out arenas. He does something lazy like this. You want to stick it to him. There's a lot of people who have a hate for Shane because of some of the controversial things he says. And unfortunately that has extended beyond the worst part of his bit. And it's turned into people trying to point out the most petty observations
[00:17:59] of how the cast behaved during the show or like speculating like, oh, I bet this is what happened. Like, this is why like they're, you know, did the show didn't go very well, stuff like that. And just like trying to find any possible way they can to dig into Shane. And you don't need to do that to criticize the problems that he brought to the show. And so my frustration comes from his shitty fan base because there is a whole sect of his fans who are just the worst fucking douche bros you can imagine. He has the same, it's the same problem with a guy like Tom Segura. Yeah. Where if you,
[00:18:29] I love Tom Segura. I think he's very funny. I think that there's a lot of real value there. I also hate his fan base. Yeah. They are taking him at face value and not getting the, I'm sorry too much. They're not getting the freaking joke. Yeah. Right. They are just on surface level cultishly believing he's saying a thing that is offensive because it's offensive and he agrees with it. Oh my God. There's no subtext. There's no wink. There's nothing to that comedy. People that love that kind of comedy.
[00:18:58] It's so frustrating because I know there's more subtext to it. I know he's doing a bit. And that's why I'm also frustrated with Shane is because I do think that he does some smart things by making jokes and observations and doing bits that are, seem funny on the surface to the worst side of his fan base because they don't fully get what he's saying or that he's making fun of them in a way. We talked about that after the show that we went to. He walks the line pretty well. Exactly. Normally, where it's like the dumb people are still going to laugh at it but pretty smart
[00:19:28] comedy observers are going to take the good stuff away and say, oh, that's pretty clever. But then he does something that just says lazy and stupid Exactly. And there's no excuse there at all. Exactly. Again, just change the word whore and you've got to joke. You get to say, I haven't been to the gym in a while and women are dressing differently these days because that's a fact and it's okay. Emphasize the word differently. Differently. That's all you have to do. And then you just very easily transition into I can't help but be distracted by the women in the gym.
[00:19:58] And it's honest and that's okay. Again. And it puts the impetus on him. Because that's where it falls. That's where it's supposed to fall. I'm wrong for doing this and I know that. I'm not great at my life here. I'm struggling because these women are very attractive and I'm just a fat guy at the gym and I'm in the background of like 13 TikTok not meaning to be. It's all his point. But you start off with women are whores Women are dressing like whores because a woman is not a whore just because she's wearing tight pants That's an insane take. That's the dumbest take. That even hurt
[00:20:28] the actual funniest thing he said in that bit which was the neon colors of the spandex look like the fake bait that fishermen use. And you know I'm from Indiana man you see those at every freaking gas station the bright pink and the bright yellow it's such a good job that's a good clever thing but it's just buried in just bullshit. and it's terrible. That one word. Oh just stupid. Just stupid. And I'm like you Brad in that like
[00:20:57] I think sometimes those on the opposite side you know on the left can be a lot they don't get Shane Gillis and they think he's everything they want to meticulously go through everything he says as if it's you know everything is you know a scandal. It's not. And don't get me wrong he has said some questionable offensive things that I don't agree with and that I think are absolutely wrong like there's no denying that whatsoever but I don't think it's necessarily
[00:21:27] quite as egregious as something like what Dave Chappelle is doing or something like that I think there's a little more nuance to like some of the stuff that he does. I was texting you guys this was a week ago I watched Bill Burr's latest special it was from last year but or maybe beginning of this year there's nobody that does that better than Bill Burr though he finds a way to do it every time where I'm like I don't think you can say that but he says it and he can seem to kind of get away with a lot of kind of questionable content.
[00:21:57] And that's another guy that's you know he's the top of Mount Rushmore when it comes to guys like Shane Gillis and like Tom Segura where it's like that's how it's done. You literally can make you can make a joke about a very sensitive subject that might actually offend some people and you can correctly comedically walk it back so that now they're actually understanding where you're coming from. You could say with another person it's questionably offensive but Bill Burr can get away with it. Yeah. Yes. I'm not sure that there's a hierarchy of Mount Rushmore and I want to say that being at the top of Mount Rushmore is better than being at any other part of Mount Rushmore
[00:22:27] because like I thought it was left or right. Is it not left or right? Like as far as like greatness? Importance. I'm not sure like how you would figure that out. It's not Brad. It's not at all. Oh. But the fact that you don't know I just had to call you out on it because you tried to call me out on the hierarchy. No because you made it I said it. I said it. I know what I said. I don't know but he was defending his erroneous statement. I said what I said and I knew that you didn't know so I had to throw it to you like I did know. No no I thought you were observing that. That's great. That's just great. No I didn't believe that. Sure okay.
[00:22:56] We're moving on. Alright moving on. Cop talk show a police talk show You don't talk to me like that. Tries to prove that talking to cops isn't scary while treating every guest as if they've been pulled over. Actually I thought this was pretty funny. This made me laugh. Did you laugh at this? Yeah this was a great premise. Yeah I thought this was good. Jeremy Colleen was good in this. What did you think about this? I thought the premise was really funny. I didn't think they quite lived it up to. There were timing
[00:23:26] issues in this. Yeah as good as it could have been. I did like the touch of the window on the seat which was pretty funny. The fact that the talk show questioning sounded exactly like a cop asking you when you've been pulled over. Shady Giles is a good performer to do this. Yeah he's a good douche bag cop for sure. He's got the mustache and he's got the meaner. I just like the creativity of this premise. I just thought it was a really creative premise. Feels like a very creative 90s premise. That's what I was going to say. It felt very kind of nostalgic. I really
[00:23:55] I like this. I thought it was really good. It worked well. Could have been better but it worked well. Would have been better with Jim Brewer? Yes. Sure. Yeah. Alright. Father daughter song. A country band plays at a wedding but the bride's father is less focused on the big emotional moment than on what he'll do with his daughter's old bedroom. This has my guy Tommy Brennan in it. Oh you're a guy now. Oh now he's a guy. Andrew Disfukes and James Austin Johnson as a country band. Shane Gillis as a father.
[00:24:27] What did you think of this one Brad? Did you I love this one actually. Did this one work for you? Yeah. So you're probably like me. We're pretty similar in this kind of way. Yeah. I'm watching this song and this video and it's a pretty long setup. Yeah. I'm waiting for the turn. And the turn of I can't wait to put all my cool shit in this room. Okay. There's the path. Pretty clever. Pretty solid. Great job. And it ends and it doesn't. And I go ah see they're in my head they're doing that thing where they're just trying to get
[00:24:56] one more out of it and it's just not going to work. And oh boy I was wrong. It worked. I am so thankful that it I got out of that way immediately man. The Mrs. Pac-Man the mold the freaking everything like give me all of that escalation. Yeah. It was pitch perfect. Escalation was perfect to the taking the song that sounds like a normal song turning it into the premise that it is and then taking that sharp turn into something even weirder. That's good comedy right there man. So good. So so good. And the song itself is a good song too.
[00:25:25] It sounds like a country song that you hear like butterfly kisses. It was so so good. It felt like it could it's like a spiritual sequel to Lake Beach almost you know. We were gone for 20 minutes or whatever when she we went to like drop stuff at the car. We were gone for 20 minutes as a hole in the wall. It was so good. Yeah. So good. But what do you think about this Brad? You've been really hard on Tommy Braden and he came back in this sketch and I felt like You're not going to crawl out of this hole you dug yourself in. Yeah you did this. You're in a Tommy hole. Yeah.
[00:25:55] Tommy was the lead singer of this. Yeah. You put some respect on that country. You put He's Chris Gainan on me. That's pretty good. All right. Sneakers. In 1920 Lowell, Massachusetts footwear executives discovered that a quiet rubber sold shoe might be useful for running walking and sneaking. So good. It's good. It's good. It's so good. This. Did you think it was a bit more edgy at first?
[00:26:25] When it when he was talking about she'll never see you coming. She'll never hear you like like you was going to go full on rape like attack someone. Yeah. I did think that it was a pretty aggressive thing to say. I was like where are they going with this? But it did also make sense for the time period of because of course back then men were a lot more aggressive and get away with those kinds of things even more so it worked out. And I say that at a time when men are still getting away with. I was going to say as a Brad. Yeah. Wow. Things really changed Brad. I mean, you know there was just a host of SNL that called
[00:26:55] women whores and you think that we're OK now. Wow. Wow. It was Dakota Johnson. Yeah. So the I don't know if you're catching on to maybe the premise of St. Shane Gillis hosting SNL. Make a guy that's like Shane Gillis a cop. Make a guy that's like Shane Gillis in a boardroom. Like it's they're really if they weren't able to write like they could for Kristen Stewart. They're sure as shit figured out a way to write for Shane Gillis. Yeah, they really did. It's like they absolutely they
[00:27:25] absolutely know how to tailor it to him. And also he he plays it super well. He's a better sketch performer than Dakota Johnson. Well, sure. But though he was lazy in a lot. Think about think about last time a couple of beers prescription. Oh, yeah. It's a dad's house. Exactly. Perfect reason to do that. Right. So these fit right with them. Perfect use of Shane and he made me laugh especially because there was two funny like physical bits and it's where he like he creeps back in the background. She'll never hear
[00:27:55] and then he runs in front of the camera. It's so quiet. And then he what do you call it when you put somebody's ribs you just hit him in the ribs like that. Just poke him. But yeah, I think there's a goose him. He goose his ribs. No, goose him is when you do it in the butt. Oh, really? Yeah. You don't pretend like you don't know that. I thought it could be anywhere on the body. No. No? I'm wrong? Goose him is the butt. I shouldn't say that about kids then. Moving on. All right. Moving on. All right. A Dr. Seuss inspired family
[00:28:24] breakfast sketch goes off script with Shane Gillis accidentally dropping the F-bomb and Mikey Day tries to make it right again. But we know that Lor Michaels doesn't like when people cuss on TV. I'm sure that SNL gets fined for this. Did this bother you that he cussed? Trust. No. I mean, it's funny when it happens and the reaction was amusing. I don't know. It's not like he did it on purpose. He didn't do it
[00:28:54] on purpose for sure. It did throw him off though. Exactly. I don't like that the sketch wasn't as good and they put a lot of time and effort into what would have been a great sketch. I hate that it happened so no I don't love it. To your point. It wasn't funny. The premise of the sketch was very good. It did overshadow what otherwise would have been a great sketch and it did throw off Shane and it did make the timing of the rest of his lines not work as well. And it is a bummer because when Shane came out with his demeanor and attitude in the world of Dr. Seuss the
[00:29:23] juxtaposition of those two things is hilarious. It's a great pairing. The way he says what's the end game here? I love that concept of when someone's being practical in an extremely fantastical world. That's one of my favorite bits. You're not going to fall for another scam where you're going to send a bunch of gift cards to Mumbai? You're not going to fall for that dad? The cut over to Mikey Day just making soup or whatever? That was a transfer for me from oh how old is this guy to that is definitely an old man because
[00:29:52] he's making soup. So it was so good. Yeah. Unfortunately it just all got thrown off the rhythm because of the F-bomb. Thankfully Mikey Day did save it a bit by... You're a bad boy and you said a bad word or whatever. So that was amusing. But yeah you could tell Shane felt bad for doing it and it was awkward. It's one of the only rules right? Yeah. Don't improvise. Don't say the F-word and you know don't break. Yeah. Now if you're watching this online you're not going to notice it. You were watching this live I think right Brett? Uh huh.
[00:30:23] I watched it on Peacock later on and it was just silenced out. It wasn't bleeped out. I think it's silenced out but then you hear everyone like... Yeah. You know what happened for sure. But he did apologize though during the good nights. Did you catch that? Oh sure. He apologized in the moment. Didn't he say oh sorry about that like right when he said it too? Yeah. Yeah. No he... You can tell he felt After the sketch was over you can hear him say it again. Yeah. So he knew that he screwed up. I will say the one part of the sketch I
[00:30:53] didn't think that was that funny was the addition of Sarah Sherman in this as thing one. Oh no I like that. I liked it but it was... No I think that the timing was off though. Yeah maybe that's what it was. She was waiting three seconds too long for a kiss. I think Shane was supposed to look at her earlier and didn't yeah so that's the her inclusion was not the problem. Shane's already in his head about the F word and so he screwed that up. I guarantee it. All right. Whoever the writer was I don't know yet who the writer was. Probably the same writer that did the Waldorf and Statler sketch. Because it's very
[00:31:23] similar in taking a very fantastical thing and making it real world and I love that sketch a lot. I've shown that to the boys. I'll show that to anybody who will watch it. Like I that that Keegan Michael Key sketch where him and Keenan beat up. Yeah. Statler and Waldorf is absolutely hilarious. Would you show it to a fox? What's the end game here? All right. Upfront heating and air conditioning and HVAC company promises a nightmare.
[00:31:53] The salesman is professional but the crew who arrives to do the work is a parade of disasters. Now this made me think of you Ben. Yeah. This hits home for a lot of small business owners. Construction companies. Well especially because you have the same haircut. I do have that haircut. This is hilarious. This is perfect. Perfect. It is what we strive so hard at La Porta Seenal's gutter not to be. I mean and I'm very proud. Do you ever worry about it? I know.
[00:32:21] I'm proud of my guys and also we're outside your home. We work on the roof. We work on ladders. But if they were inside. We don't have to come inside and that does help because it's a dirty thing. Like you walk in with boots like if you're professional and you walk inside you're supposed to have boot covers right? Like just what you're supposed to do. The smoking of the cigarettes and I just it's just I've had people work at my own house. I'm like that shouldn't smell like cigarette smoke in front of my nine-year-old. This felt a little bit like a couple of beers though because which I love so this is that's a compliment but it felt like Shane giving you a view into something that
[00:32:51] made me really laugh. It's funny because Summer's Heating and Air is orange shirt and they are a nationwide brand and I guarantee you somebody saw a commercial for them like we're doing this almost like the Safe Flight Auto Glass. At least this one didn't get taken down immediately for creating a weird reputation for Safe Flight Auto Exactly. That was harsh and quick. What did you think of this one bro? No I love this one. I thought it was hilarious and just the little details. The weird things that some blue collar workers tend to do when they're
[00:33:21] inside your house and stuff like that. They won't be able to come to your house. Why? You got a window? They're looking in it. Great. I also loved the tagline was perfect at the very end. I was like that's a great joke. What was it? It's whatever heating and cooling. It's affordable but it'll cost you. Yeah. Exactly. And that's a good my friend Jimmy down in Foley, Alabama his company logo or slogan is doing it right is less expensive
[00:33:50] than doing it over. Yeah. And it's a very similar type thing like pay us. We might be more expensive but we're not going to rip you off. Yeah. You know it just it really did hit home though. I've seen so many contractors that live that lifestyle like they present this professional image and then the guys that show up you're like oh no. Oh right. It is time for you to get your computer out. Bradley Bear. It is the weekend update. It was. Bradometer is broken. No it's AOL. Colin Jost and Michael
[00:34:20] Che take on the week's headlines including Trump's Nobel Peace Prize disappointment the War Department logo and the National No Bra Day. Okay. Talk a little bit about where we think the predominant is going to be at this week. On a scale of zero to a hundred how well did Colin Jost and Michael Che interact with each other. How good was weekend update overall. And yes the bits on the weekend update desk do count towards that number. I thought this was some weeks. This was pretty hot. Yeah. According to Brad. I think this was pretty high. I think that they talked
[00:34:49] a lot to each other. I think it was a very funny weekend update overall. The energy seemed to be there and I don't know if it was just because they had a comedian in the as a host. Everything just seemed to have a little more energy than the first two. I do really feel like even though Shane Gillis bombed his monologue it's still like the warm-up comedian and so the show gets funnier because you at least were exposed to comedy in the first place and that does always I think if you did the correlation work you'd see stand-up comedians that host Saturday Night Live have better weekend
[00:35:19] updates because I think the audience is more primed to hear us set up in a punchline. I feel like that's probably a thing because this was really really good. And also to your point we have read a lot we've watched a lot of documentaries. Writers don't love to watch to write for most athletes right because they're not going to be that funny. It's hard. They do like to write for people like Shane Gillis that they know can be good in sentences. It doesn't mean he's always good but he is often good. But this weekend update
[00:35:47] was probably like a what we said last week I said like 92 or 93 or whatever you said. You were one off I think it was 93 last week. I'll say 96. I think it was pretty freaking high. That's too high. I'm going to say 89. Yeah you guys are way too high. Last week was like in the mid 80s. Yeah I thought last week was 90. It was mid 80s. This one's better than last week. Yeah no this I gave this one an 80 because this was not as good as last week. No it was better. That's not true. I thought it was better. No last week was phenomenal. Oh stop. You're embarrassing
[00:36:17] seeing yourself in front of our listeners. Listen you dumb twat. Jesus. It was a. Why? Why? That's the most aggressive thing you can do. You're never that aggressive towards me. Yeah. Because you know what you started with your bullshit and I'm not here for it. But you're allowed to have an honest debate without just attacking with words. He wasn't being honest. He was being an asshole. This was better than this week. I also agree with that it was better than last week. You didn't call him that. Last week's was 20
[00:36:46] minutes and every bit of it was really funny. No it was not. This week's was pretty funny but there wasn't as much. There was so much back and forth. No there was so much fun. There was a lot of back and forth. There was some but there wasn't as much as last week. Okay whatever. This one was decent for sure. Oh god. It's a new season. The Bradometer has been recalibrated. This is accurate to the content and the quality. Recalibrated and Brad is wrong. All of our listeners are embarrassed for you right now. I'm embarrassed for you and your
[00:37:15] gross face. Mailbag is going to be hot next week. I have a feeling. I think people disagree with you. Don't say that phrase ever again. I think people disagree with you. I think most people anybody saying go ahead and shove it up your ass. Hey listener can you just throw out a number what you think the Bradometer should have been? Yeah go ahead and tell me what my meter should be. Yeah please do because then we'll get one of you on here. Get bent you hick. Jesus. He's angry. He's lashing out. I'm so sick of this. You name a meter after me and you get mad when I tell you what it is.
[00:37:45] Just deal with it. It's pretty broken. Yeah why don't you get yourself a nice ben-o-meter or I don't know like a Nate motor. No I can't call it a Nate-tron. Nate. Ugh. Like a Scantron but a Nate-tron? Like a Nate-tron. Can we do that? No. Yeah. Oh no. Sorry. We get an update bit. Mr. Wonderful. James Johnson returns as Kevin O'Leary pitching a massive Utah data center while barely acknowledging its impact to other people living nearby.
[00:38:17] James Johnson does a great Kevin O'Leary. He does. This is a good episode for James Johnson's impressions. This doesn't even sound like James Johnson. No this is Mr. One. I mean if you've closed your eyes you would literally think it's him. Yeah. What did you guys think of this? This was I thought it was pretty funny. It did feel like it skewed a little too close to what they did with the AI guy from before. Kind of the same kind of thing where he's acknowledging like oh yeah I'm doing this is terrible but I don't live there. Exactly. But his impression was
[00:38:47] so good and I think that it was still pretty sharp but I enjoyed it. For that reason I'm out. Yeah that is the hard thing is is the impression the main draw or is it the bit right? Because it feels like sometimes I'm just taken back by the skill of the impression. And I also did like the calling out of the things that he didn't invest in that became massive. Yeah it was good. All right. Another weekend update bit mother and daughter. A mother whose babysitter is canceled tries to make the
[00:39:14] best of a day with her daughter and the daughter has some very strange observations. This is Esther Padilla with Grace Ryder. I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen Ashley Padilla and Grace Ryder. This was a great bit. Yes. This is fantastic. Okay. Calm down. Throw some respect on it Nate. He was just saying their names. Just throw it out there. I was telling the people who are in the sketch. It's a receipt from CVS. But he does that every day. He just says who's in the sketch. I know but I wanted to give it some You're allowed to after the fact.
[00:39:44] I did. I saw it. Here I am. Now it almost diminishes what we're about to talk about. Now I don't want to talk about it. Ladies and gentlemen Ashley Padilla and Grace Ryder. All right. What did you think this been? I liked it. Brad? It was fine. It was great. No it's wonderful. This was so good. The stark difference in personalities obviously. I mean just Grace Ryder's facial expressions reacting to what her mother was saying. She was just rolling her eyes and
[00:40:14] embarrassed like oh my god. It was just a great side performance that she was doing while Ashley was being funny herself. But yeah just her exaggerated delivery and the constant like no come on no and just the escalation of the kissing farmer and all that stuff. It was such a good bit. Yeah no I was very very very happy with this. Grace is fitting in tremendously well. I mean her and Ashley. Back half of the episode. Yeah. Yeah I mean she was she was knocking out of the park. Yeah I was very
[00:40:44] happy. All right. Speaking of Grace Ryder saying goodbye a man visits his dying mother in hospice but his grief is complicated by one very modern problem. It's taking us to see Jelly Roll at the Sphere. Who doesn't love Jelly Roll? You love Jelly Roll Brad. Jelly Roll and me and him and Jesus are like this. Cool Jesus. All right. This has Shane Gillis as Fred. Also Jesus is cool so it's redundant. Yeah seriously. Grace Ryder as his mother. Sarah Sherman as hospice nurse. Ben Marshall as
[00:41:13] Jelly Roll and Rosalia makes a cameo. All right. What did you guys think of this one? Brad let's start with you. I thought this was solid. I think that the way that they kept escalating what he was seeing in his inner monologue having Jelly Roll there, having Rosalia there, having Marcelo Hernandez show up as cool Jesus. It was a nice bit of escalation. It was very funny. And then obviously bringing Grace Ryder as his mom into the fray to only help to hit it home.
[00:41:42] And so Shane's delivery here again was a little stilted. I thought so too. Quite cut off and so it was kind of frustrating in that regard. But otherwise pretty funny. Grace may have had a good end of the episode. I didn't think Shane did as much. Yes, I would agree. Yeah, no, there's this there was a lot to love about this sketch. But again, Shane really kind of muddled his way through it. Yeah. Yeah. But no, overall, again, not a bad sketch. Not a bad sketch. The premise is the writing on this
[00:42:11] episode, even if the performances and some of the timing was off, the writing on this episode was very good. I thought the quality of the sketches was very good. By the way, while we're talking about Rosalia being in this sketch, I do want to give a shout out to did you see guys watch her first musical performance at all? No, did not. This is bonkers. And I don't know if she actually did it or if they figured out a way to rig it to make it look like she was doing it. And either way, it still required an amount of physical
[00:42:39] endurance that I was thoroughly impressed by. The entire song that she performed, the first song she did Endpoint, which is in ballet when the ballerinas are on both of their tiptoes standing. You can't do that? She did it the entire song. And so I don't know if she actually did that while singing or if they had some kind of like rig set up so that she could like sit on something and was like hiding some side of like... I mean, does she have
[00:43:09] previous experience as a ballerina? I do not know. Because if so, I would say she probably could do that. But even then, I'm not even sure if that's something that it's easy for even the most professional ballerinas to do. Because we're talking about like a three, four minute just standing on her tiptoes. I mean, they perform for hours. She is a dancer. She is like a professional dancer as well. I feel like that's for a trained professional like her would not be the hardest thing to do for three or four minutes. For like half an hour sure. But typically they don't do that for the time in a row. They do it intermittently. How many ballets have you been to?
[00:43:39] A lot. Okay, well fair enough. You know more than anything. I've seen the Nutcracker. Twice. The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker. I saw a fifth grade performance of the Nutcracker and they didn't do that at all. Yeah. So it's impossible. But yeah, so I was curious whether or not she actually did it for three or four minutes which was very impressive. I'm guessing yes. Especially because she sings like an angel. Like I mean, I can't imagine how much energy Well she's very light on her feet because she's got wings. How much energy that it would take for you to just stand like that on your tiptoes in addition to singing like that. I don't know.
[00:44:09] I haven't seen my toes in a long time so I couldn't talk about that. That's because you got gangrene. That's true. This is a bummer. All right. I know we're really ending strong here. All right. Clayton Middle School Chess Semifinals and Middle School Chess Semifinals supposed to be a quiet and serious event but a player's love parents in an unexpected romantic reunion make concentration impossible. This has my buddy Tommy Brennan and Jeremy Klain in it and Shane Gillis and Grace Ryder.
[00:44:39] Jane Wickline appears as Gillis's current girlfriend. Ben what did you think of this one? I thought it was very good. Did you watch it? Yeah. Why'd you do it like that? It sounded like you were struggling to remember what we're talking about. No I was just trying to think it because I watched the entire episode twice. That's what students do when they get asked a question on the spot in front of the rest of the class. What did you think of the reading? I thought.
[00:45:10] It was reading. I read that it was reading. No I watched the whole episode twice but I didn't watch this is where I stopped the second time through. So I only saw it the one time and it was pretty late at night and I do but I did I did watch the whole thing. I just remember thinking this is something that on paper is written down as a good premise and then it's funny enough but I didn't love it. No I think it was executed in a way that made it funnier than it otherwise might have been. That's fair. This also did feel like a very 90s kind of
[00:45:39] sketch to me. It's a very simple premise. Oh cool rowdy parents at an event that doesn't require them. Also great job of being like remember where we are. Yeah exactly. And it's just grounding it in that universe is great. Yeah and so but Grace Ryder was very funny and Shane was pretty decent in this one. No but she stole the show. No for sure. This was her sketch through and through. She was fantastic. That physicality all of it. Right up to the very end. Yeah so good. The way she threw herself on the table and just like brought Shane in and everything. No it was she was great.
[00:46:09] All right. Well that is the episode. Let's talk a little bit about it. What did you think of Shane Gillis in this episode. Do you think this was you know would you rank this as the highest of his three performances that he's had on SNL. Would you rank this as the lowest. No I don't think it's I feel like maybe his first episode probably was the worst right. Right. I see I'm I'm going to his second time was the best. I know that I agree with that because that's a couple of beers and that's dad's house. Yeah. Those are those are just
[00:46:38] great great sketches. So I probably say one three. Sorry two three one maybe just because there were a lot of funny things in here but it wasn't necessarily because of Shane Gillis all the time. Yeah. If anything he hindered a few of them sketches not the Seuss one would have been even better if you would have had honestly any any guy in that role to try to be the tough dude you could have done that. The cop show doesn't work really well with somebody that's not Shane Gillis's type. You know there's a couple that don't work
[00:47:08] you know as well but overall yeah I laughed a lot this time Darren Patterson's right. This is the this was the best one of the season so far. Yeah. I agree with that as far especially when it comes to the writing which is hard to say though because there's been this is the only episode that really had a lot of negative feedback on it. And that's it's but it's because of exactly because of the baggage that Shane brings with him. But you can't argue in the sketches that were written by the entire staff of writers and the
[00:47:38] show puts it on. They're not responsible for his monologue. He writes his own monologue. So I'm not holding the show responsible for that bullshit. Let's go through the first episode that Shane Gillis was on. I'll give you some of the sketches that were in that episode. Church on vacation. That was a great that was a great sketch. I laughed at that one a lot. Where I'm in your wheelhouse. Well I know but he's very funny in this. We've got rock bottom Kings. I don't remember that one. Oh that was draft Kings. Yeah. Parody HR meeting
[00:48:08] white men can Trump. That was Trump sneakers sneakers. Yeah. The floor that had Heidi Gardner, Ego Wodham, Bonyang and Michael Longfellow in the game show parody. Yeah. Yeah. And then high school reunion. The Forrest Gump High School reunion. That was pretty funny actually. And then the sextile one where. Yeah see that was. So yeah I'd say three you know. Yeah. Three Sherman plays. Two, three, one then. Yeah.
[00:48:38] And then they're listening and that's it. Yeah. Yeah. I'm very good with my rating now. Yeah. You didn't like that episode. It's not that I didn't like it. I just don't think it's as good as. This one was pretty. There is enough. This one was consistent. Yeah. Yeah. So this is the best episode of the season so far you think. Yes. Yes. All right. Which isn't that hard. Let's go with sketch of the night. What would you say Brad? I'm giving it to the my new room. sketch.
[00:49:08] It was so hard for me to pick anything other than that because I just love the sketch but the contractor one just speaks to me directly. Of course. So I'm going to pick that one. It's just so funny. What'd you go with? I went with my new home song. My new room. So you're saying you didn't think about this before the show. Yeah. Do any of this? Yes. Yes. I'm going to go with cop talk show. I thought that was very funny. That's dumb. Again Brad. He's allowed to have an
[00:49:38] opinion you weirdo. You know what's wrong though. I mean I said the contractor one that might not hit a home for a lot of people. Two sketches that are way funnier than that one. I know. Cop sketch is pretty funny. He panicked. He knows. I did. It was a panic vote. Who's your MVP of the night Nate? MVP of the night. Good friends don't let other friends get away with bullshit. That's fair. But good friends don't let other friends not prepare well for an episode. That's not my responsibility at all. Wait where was the text you texted me hey you're prepared. No I didn't. I go did you text Nate and you go just got done
[00:50:07] with it buddy. The only thing I do is remind you that we're recording because you guys are idiots. MVP for me I'm going to go with James Johnson Johnson. You know it was tough because we never give it to him. We don't. We don't ever give it remotely true. No we don't. When's the last time we gave it to James I mean it's been a while but mostly because he's from like he's won it before. Okay but he is consistently in many of the sketches. He never performs poorly and we rarely give it to him.
[00:50:36] I would say tonight he did a great job. No I think I would agree with you. I think that part of the reason he doesn't get it is because he's usually doing some of the more thankless roles and it's not always the standout role that makes you think oh yeah he had a great night. Sometimes that happens to Mikey Day too I think. Agreed. And I do think he. We could take him for granted a little bit. Yeah and I do think he does deserve it for this because he between Kennedy and Mr. Fantastic and the My New Room sketch which was an integral part of that would definitely do it.
[00:51:06] However I think that the back half of this episode was great for a great writer. Absolutely. And so I would almost give it to her again. That's fine. Yeah. I gave it to her last week as well I think. But again she's a rock star here. All right. I think they're pretty even keeled. Dude the weekend update bit and playing Nana and then that like she crushed the Kest tournament. I'm going to defend James Austin Johnson from your attack. No I'm just saying. You don't like him. I get it. You've been in all this Half in the back half. There you go buddy. Well you heard it here
[00:51:36] first Nate doesn't respect women. Nate laughed really hard at the whore comment. I'm Robert Kennedy. All right. What was your worst sketch of the night? The monologue. Yeah. Pretty easily. Or the cold open. Monologue. Pretty easily. All right. Who's up next week? We're off. We are. We're off for two weeks. We're off for two weeks. And then Halloween. Yes. And actually I learned something.
[00:52:05] Her name is pronounced Indie Navaretti. Indie Navaretti. Not Navarette. So how about that? The star of obsession. Have you been saying Navarette? Yeah. That's what we've been saying. I have. I didn't know you'd been saying that. You do not listen when I talk? Yeah that makes sense. Well he also calls her Anna Arms. It's Anna de Armas. It's Anna of arms. That's actually a really really good joke Brad. I'm going to give you that one. No it's a good joke man. Anna de Armas is Anna of arms. Indie Navaretti. The star of obsession
[00:52:35] will be hosting on Halloween. Yeah. I'm jacked up for that. Calm down. I am. I love Halloween. You haven't even seen Obsession yet. No I don't care about that. I care about Halloween SNL. Honestly you should brush up on it because they'll probably do an obsession sketch. Yeah I should probably watch it on the drive. I'll be married. Guys I'll be married by then. Hey you will be married by then. So it's a good thing we're taking a break and SNL is honoring my wedding and honeymoon. Exactly. Allowing you to take some time off and not record. Yeah but I'm going to
[00:53:05] watch SNL that night still. Even if it's real. You're just going to watch the St. Gillis monologue. I'm going to actually bring a portable TV. A projector. It's called a projector. A portable TV. By the way it's not until the 31st right? Yeah. Okay yeah my wedding is the 21st. That's what he means. He's going to watch a rerun. Oh. He's being mean. Not mean. That's so mean. Not true. I don't care enough about your reception I'm just going to bring a what'd you say a portable TV. Yeah if the reception's not over by 1030 what are we doing?
[00:53:34] Bringing a Magnavox? Like what are you doing? Do you pay attention to Amazon? They make TVs that sit on these stands that you can wheel around outside and wherever you want to. That's insane. Just watch it on your phone. Just watch it on your phone. Technology. Just watch it on your phone like Nate does every week. Ugly dork. That's better than you called Nate earlier. What did you call him? Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Listen now that I thought about it it was pretty mean. Yeah it was. It was harsh. I'm going to call you a dimwit. That's fine. Okay. Okay. Nate we got to teach you buddy. Like him taking a horrible
[00:54:04] insult and just replacing it with like a softer insult but it's still an insult and then you're like oh thank you. Like you don't you don't need to think he's still insulting. That was nice of him. Oh my we're going to work on this. Well anyway where can people find you idiots online? Oh you can always find me at slash film dot com the slash from weekly podcast the pop culture podcast or at look at Brad's junk on TikTok Instagram and Facebook. All right. It bothers me that he advertises the podcast. I don't love it but you know what I didn't love Shane Gillis's monologue and they're pretty much the same
[00:54:33] person so. What the fuck. Where can people find you? Oh man. I'm on the online a lot. I'm so I have all the websites rumble. What is it? Rumble. What is rumble? Is it rumble like the conservative social media network? Is it? Is it? I think so. Oh so you know what it is then. Wow. Okay. I think that's part of it. Yeah. Oh. I think Nate's got an alt account that we just don't know about. You guys remember Rumble right? Like I'm on it a lot.
[00:55:03] Rumble sounds like a right wing dating app. It could be that too. I don't know. Yeah. It's just just for people that love domestic violence. Yeah. They want to fight. You can find us. Rumble. Date me. By the way you should actually rumble would be a great like if you want to fight somebody you can find someone else who wants to fight. It's like Fight Club but there are no rules. Yeah. But when are you going to start our Instagram site? everyone about it. That's what I'm saying. That's the joke.
[00:55:26] When are you going to like I'm a child and that the audience wouldn't get it? He just wanted the audience to get it. Yeah. The audience doesn't always know. Oh don't insult the audience. They're way smarter than you. But also. Darren Patterson gets it. But also. Darren texted me and he said he doesn't like you. Oh you son of a bitch. Does he text you? No. Okay.
[00:55:56] That's a little weirdly jealous. Let's wrap this up. We gotta go. Alright. You gotta go. I gotta go. I gotta go. Drive to Columbus tonight. I'm driving to Columbus. It's 9 o'clock at night. I'm driving four hours. I guess you should schedule your life better. Okay. Maybe you should come back from New York on a Sunday instead of a Monday. Alright everyone. We'll be back in a couple weeks. Wait. Who's hosting? Who's hosting? We just went through this. Who's hosting on the universe? How do you say it? Indie Navaretti. Indian Everettie. Okay. Alright. We'll be good to hear something good to others. Bye bye.
