The guys go sketch by sketch through the 1,012th episode in SNL history. It opens with Tom Hanks back as David S. Pumpkins almost exactly ten years after his debut, with skeletons Bobby Moynihan and Mikey Day included, until Trump crashes the party. Inde gets bound-and-gagged boyfriend jokes and a jab at Shane Gillis into her monologue. The episode also has a dating game show where the bachelors can’t take a hint, a telenovela hijacked by Sprite, PAW Patrol taking on Special Victims Unit, and “The Inventor’s Wife,” a Midnight Matinee short from Dan Bulla with a sweet little robot whose initials do not stand for what you’d hope.
On Weekend Update, Ben Marshall’s Pennywise pitches an AI startup, and Drunk Uncle celebrates the Brewers’ World Series win with a few real Brewers in tow.
